Student Blog Wk.3 S.1 Yr.2: Trying to find a balance…still

So this week I kind of went a little far with relaxing.  Needless to say I partied after a friends B-day and it went into the wee hours of the morning and I ended having to write-off Friday, which was the day I needed to do a bunch of homework.  I was feeling a bit guilty, but as my awesome flatmate pointed out I work really hard!!  I’m still noticing a problem with my work-life-study balance because I just can’t seem to get into a routine.  I have school 2 days a week, which kind of makes school a very hard thing to make a priority because I am always thinking, “Oh I’ll just do that homework/reading tomorrow….”  but then come tomorrow and it becomes the next day and so on….  I also noticed that I’m getting anxious when I procrastinate, which is actually a good thing because then I stress myself out just enough to get things done.  Anyways the point is that I really need to get stuff done over this weekend, thankfully I don’t have work, and my down time will be good because my dad is visiting for 4 days.  All-in-all I think this routine is slowly coming together, but I seriously need to buckle down and focus if I am going to do well in my 6 classes!  Other-than my lack of trying to find a balance, I’m pretty sure I got out what I needed to by partying and I’m feeling optimistic for the weeks to come.  I know they are going to be hectic, but I can do it!  Not the most exciting week.  Hope yours was :)  Thanks for reading and be aware and eat with care :)

Hey Shannon, why are you in school only two days with 6 courses? Wouldn’t it be better to spread it out through the weeK? A little bit of school, a little bit of work, and a little volunteering/exercise? Hopefully you can mess with your schedule for next semester. I did the same thing once, had all my course on Tues Thurs because I thought “yay, less school” but it turned out to be more work for me.

    • Hey there, ya I know I thought it would be better but I figured out the same as you, its definitely been more work. Lessons learned and changes will be made :) Thanks hun xx
