Break Blog.12: Is it time to go yet!!??

So the impatience from last week is trickling into this week.  Just getting all the last minute items together, and all I can say, is that I’m pretty ready to just get out into nature and start exploring. I just realized I probably won’t be able to write my blog every week after I leave so I guess it’ll have to be when I have internet and the time.  I’ll write about how the trip is going and what I recommend seeing around British Columbia.  We are going to do quite a bit in 1 month, and living almost entirely in my Toyota RAV4 SUV.  Purchased foam for our bed, and cut it to fit perfectly in the back.  Have bikes to do day trips around towns.  Small grill for cooking and other essentials for a camping extravaganza!  I think one of the things I am looking forward too the most is the hanging camping bag shower.  I’ve never been able to shower in the forest, so this is a big highlight for me, haha.  I really look forward to visiting my friends and family around Nelson and Kamloops, as well as exploring Portland and Seattle, which I have never been to before, along with numerous other places along the way.  This week I think is going to go by really fast, or extremely slow.

I was pretty proud of myself this week for running 5 days in a row and then finishing the Neon Run Calgary 5km fun run.  I did an obstacle course 10km run outside Melbourne, AUS, but I would like to eventually train for a half marathon.  Its funny that I started out hating running, because I was a smoker for 12 years, and now after about 3 years I love running for exercise and it actually helped me quit smoking, because I realized I like to breathe, haha.  I also had a great time today with my bf, riding my new-old bike around Calgary on a beauty of a day.  I wish Calgary had summer all year round because it really is a beautiful city, but I look forward to the coast and the outdoor fun it has to offer.  I’m also looking forward to getting back into my art when we get out to the coast.

So I mentioned I was taking Chaste Tree Berry tincture for my hormones and I posted the article about some adverse effects that can occur.  Well I can tell you from experience now that there can be some gastrointestinal irritability, so I have taken a break for now, but my PMS has taken a more relaxing turn.  Also, at the same time, I was taking a parasite cleanse, which is mostly composed of woodworm and black walnut, and after about 10 out of the 15 days of the cleanse I started to get a lot of very uncomfortable flatulence, so I am also off that for awhile, haha.  I should mention that I picked up hookworms about 3 years ago in Vietnam from poorly cooked pork, and I did the cleanse because I think they are back.  They are extremely hard to get rid of, so that’s a bummer.  Any-ways I’m off to eat delicious tacos, and enjoy the rest of my Sunday night.  Hope you do the same.  Thanks for reading, and be aware and eat with care 🙂
